Be Surprised by Reiki

I am a traditional Usui Reiki practitioner.
After having been impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness of Reiki I have decided to quit my job as Data Scientist (I have a degree in statistics) and become a Reiki practitioner.
I would like Reiki be available to a wider audience, as it seems to me that currently it appeals to a small subset of the population, mainly women with an inclination for spirituality and for a limited range of applications.
I have come to believe that Mikao Usui was a very intelligent and gifted person that has discovered an incredibly useful technique and I would like to contribute to his wish of improving the world by spreading Reiki as much as possible according his definition of Reiki: ‘The secret art of inviting happiness. The miraculous medicine of all diseases’ (this sentence is taken from his memorial stone, I know that it is not backed by science and that Reiki is currently administered as a complementary practice, it can support wellbeing alongside, not instead of, conventional care).
I practice from my house living room, that I have kept on purpose neutral and ‘normal looking’ without adding anything referring to Reiki, Japan or spirituality.
