Reiki with So-Mei Au in Surbiton (So-Peaceful Therapies)

I am a Reiki Master  and Complementary Therapist with over 20 years experience of working with clients to de-stress; assisting them along their journey to remove blockages in their life and helping to address physical and emotional health conditions. Reiki is a non invasive, wonderful, calming treatment which helps to induce a beautiful state of relaxation. This then allows the body to replenish and recharge and reverse the effects of the build up of stress within the mind and body. With reiki, I channel the energy to the individual through my hands to the 7 main chakras, which are energy centres within the body. These are thought to relate to different organs and if blocked can manifest as physical or emotional conditions and blockages in areas of one’s life. I therefore assist in moving the energy and can work with the individual to address blockages and move forward.

My current clinic practice is in Surbiton, Kingston Upon Thames in Surrey.

I became inspired by complementary therapies after a period of illness in my own life during my Illustration degree which had a huge impact on my life. I began a journey of healing through complementary therapies, good nutrition, yoga, art and reiki. I was incredibly inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist monk, on mindfulness and living in the present moment. This became so much part of my way of living and personality, that I then began to train as a therapist after I recovered. I know from my own personal experience as well as through treating my clients, just how profound and powerful the benefits of reiki and holistic therapies are as it has changed my life.

My experiences have taught me to listen to the wisdom of my body and return ‘home’ to the important things in life, to my heart! I now have a very holistic approach to living, as well as a strong passion and commitment to the health and wellbeing of others using my skills and knowledge as a therapist.
