I trained with Sam on his Reiki Teachers course. On one of our workshops, I was priviledged to watch Sam work on a Goshawk that had never taken a proper flight from his owner’s arm and back. The bird was obviously distressd before treatment, crying and flapping and falling off the owner’s arm. Sam approached the bird with its sharp beak and dangerous looking talons and began Reiki just off the bird. It immediately quietened down. After 5 minutes the owner said that the bird had relaxed one of its talons which was unusual, shortly followed by the second. After another 5 – 10 minutes the owner was delighted as the bird pooped copiously on to his boots! He said that this meant the bird was totally relaxed and happy. That evening the bird completed its first ever proper flight. It was amazing to watch this transformation. Sam has a quiet manner with a dry sense of humour. He is kind and has the ability to cut right to the heart of the matter when he does speak. Tremendous heat comes from his hands during a Reiki treatment. He is a powerful healer.
