Burgate is a village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk, England, about 5 miles south-west of Diss in Norfolk. It has very friendly villagers with a lot of community spirit. They usually raise money for Burgate church by doing events such as plant sales and village meals. The church, dedicated to St Mary and dating from the 14th century, was restored in 1864 and is a grade II* listed building. Burgate Wood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest SSSI. Wikipedia
