Chalfont Common is a hamlet in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Chiltern Hills, to the north of Chalfont St Peter. It is 24 miles from the centre of London. It is located east of the River Misbourne and was one of Chalfont St Peter's three commons. Housing of all sorts developed around and on the common, some dating back to the 1890s. In the 1960s a post office was constructed on the common, which is now a Spar shop, with a salon next door. It is also the home of the Epilepsy Society which was founded in 1892. Wikipedia
