About Time to Heal
I am level two trained Reiki Practitioner. I have been practising Reiki for over 13 years.
Reiki is an ideal way to balance the stresses and strains of our busy lifestyles.
Reiki uses energy to balance the body physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I got into reiki during a long drawn out period of chronic back pain in my early 20s. Consultants told me my xrays and scans resembled that of an elderly person-I think he may even said 80 year old (I was 20 at the time). Devastated having followed a career in physical activity and sport I needed to find away to get rid of the pain. A few years later I found Reiki having a severe episode of back pain and migraines something I’d never experienced.
After considering what have I really got to lose (bar 50 quid) I booked 3 sessions closely together. Afterwards I remember phoning my boss (I’d been off work for a number of weeks) and told her I couldn’t believe how great I felt, I was ecstatic (I know I really was) and would be back at work the following week.
You see back pain wasn’t really the problem it was the symptom of my thinking, me being out of balance with myself. Reiki gave me a clear head again, let out what I needed to let go off and let energy in to where it was needed.
I’ve have flare ups and it’s usually because I’m not taking care of myself (although I really hate to admit that) so every now and again I have more reiki to re-balance. Eventually I learnt Reiki myself realising how powerful it could be.
Over the years I have given reiki to family members, friends, workmates, the kids. other peoples kids and the family pets. The effects on stress, pain, over all wellbeing and even insomnia are so incredible.
I’m not the woo woo type, but I am honest and guinine. This worked for me it’s worth a try if you are dealing with a difficult situation, health condition, chronic pain, stress or anxiety or just needing some plain old me “me time”
I am also a trained life coach and NLP practitioner.
My background is in physical activity, health promotion and mental health.
