Reiki is a gentle, safe, non-invasive, hands on, holistic therapy treatment. During a Reiki treatment you will lie or sit comfortably and I will place my hands on or near my client's body, allowing the Reiki energy to flow. You will remain fully clothed.
The practice of Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century. The word translates to ‘universal life energy’.
Scientists have explained that at quantum level everything that exits is energy. ‘Ki’ is therefore the life force energy that runs through every living thing and when this is out of balance we become unwell. The Reiki healing technique is based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch. This energy is thought to activate the recipient’s natural regenerative healing processes and therefore aids in the restoration of internal balance.
The aim of a Reiki treatment is to restore physical and emotional well-being. It is a treatment for balancing, healing and harmonising every aspect of a person; mental, physical, emotional and spiritual.
I am a Reiki master. This means that I am qualified to teach. If you are interested in becoming attuned to Reiki (i.e. being taught Reiki) I will be adding some new dates for Reiki I and Reiki II training on my website or you can email me for more information (firstname.lastname@example.org). I am unsure at the moment when I will be able to return to work as the government are yet to confirm a date for therapists. Also, I am based in Wales so this could be later than England.
I do not work on weekends other than to teach Reiki and for group Reiki |Share Sessions. I am flexible in that I can teach during the week (there may however be a longer waiting list to avoiding clashing with clients who have booked to receive treatments).
