Empathy formed in 2007 by a group of people with experience of, or living with an addict. Their aim was to help & support others in the same situation, and assure them they are not alone..

—Today, Empathy is still run by volunteers who have a wealth of experience in dealing with a loved one’s addiction, coupled with an understanding of the frustrations of the processes and procedures to get help from the treatment services, and support for the family.

—Our personal experience means that we can truly empathise with our clients, enabling us to recognise that families too need a pathway to recovery, and to date we are uniquely placed as the only service in North Lincs providing this.

Our concept is to help you to:

—Assess a person’s addiction in order to determine the correct approach
—Develop awareness and insight
—Improve coping skills
—Communicating boundaries, save conflict
—Organising a formal intervention
