I am a fully insured Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, Member of the Reiki Academy London, qualified in the Western Lineage - Usui Shiki Ryoho and Japanese Lineage - Usui Reiki Ryoko (Usui System of Reiki).
Reiki is an ancient way of channeling healing energy. It is an energy healing system rediscovered by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century.
Reiki heals and balances the body on many levels, creating many beneficial effects: relaxation, feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
- physical (pain relief, tension relief, reduction of side effects of medications, supports and accelerates your body's own natural ability to heal itself, pre and post surgery, chronic conditions, cleanses the body of toxins)
- mental (stress, traumas, depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleep problems, improve your mental clarity and focus)
- emotional (let go of negative emotions)
- spiritual (self-acceptance, self-love).
Reiki can move through all parts of the human energy field to break energetic blockages.
It is a complementary therapy and also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki is not a replacement for conventional medicine, Reiki practitioners do not diagnose or treat symptoms or conditions of illness nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment. If you suspect you may have a medical condition you should seek help from a qualified medical practitioner.
There are no contra-indications for Reiki. It is a non-invasive treatment that can be delivered in a variety of settings and requires no special equipment. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The practitioner places her/his hands on or near the client's body in a series of hand positions. During a treatment, you will remain fully clothed. A Reiki treatment can be given and received equally effectively hands-on, hands-off or via distant healing.
