Description:

Reiki is a natural holistic healing energy activated by intention. The practice of Reiki originated before Christ and was rediscovered in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist.

Reiki means “Universal Life Energy” which is the energy that flows through all living things and is vital to wellbeing. It balances and heals the body, mind, spirit and emotions and is also used to encourage spiritual and personal growth.

During a session the recipient lies down fully clothed in a peaceful, comfortable environment and the practitioner places their hands gently on or above the body. The recipient automatically draws in only as much energy as is needed using it in whatever way is most appropriate.

Reiki may be experienced as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, coolness, other sensations or nothing at all. It is deeply relaxing and has a profoundly calming effect. After a session it is advisable to rest for a while and drink plenty of water and be responsive to your body’s needs. The beneficial effects may last for several days. Frequency of treatments depends on individual needs and initially a course of regular treatments may be more effective.

Benefits include deep relaxation promoting a calm, peaceful sense of wellbeing on all levels. It encourages and supports positive personal choices such as adopting a healthier lifestyle and promotes inner harmony and balance that makes it easier to cope with life’s challenges.

It is safe for people of all ages including new born babies, the frail and elderly, people with most medical conditions and is also good for clearing the energy in a room, plants, food, water and animals. Reiki can also be sent to recipients at any distance.
