I’m a UK Reiki Federation (UKRF) Reiki Master Teacher of Usui Shiki Ryoho and Usui Reiki Ryoho (with both Eastern and Western Reiki Master lineage branches), and a CNHC-registered professional Reiki practitioner. I’m also a UK Reiki Federation accredited and listed Animal Reiki Practitioner – with a history of healing rescue animals in the RSPCA serious case centre, in Warrington – and saw first hand the difference that Reiki made to those animals, in their healing and recovery journey – as well as to the staff and volunteers who worked with them!

I’m passionate about professional standards, and it’s one of my aims to help building understanding, trust and more integration and joined-up working between the Animal Reiki profession and official bodies like the Royal Veterinary College, so that more animals can benefit from Reiki, alongside their medical veterinary care. As such, I’m a member of the UKRF’s Research Group, and am leading on a potential research project to observe and measure the effects of Reiki on rescue dogs. I’m hopeful that this will be a strong piece of research, which will help build the reputation, credibility and profile of Animal Reiki, in the right way.

As a meditation teacher as well as a Reiki Master Teacher, I offer Reiki practice sessions and Reiki-infused meditations on the Insight Timer app – which has been really well received by those new to Reiki as well as those who are seasoned professionals. I also offer 121 Reiki tutorials in person and online, for those who are looking for some additional support, direction or inspiration/coaching on their Reiki path. And I run monthly live Zoom Reiki technique and self-healing guided practice sessions for UK Reiki Federation members. I’ve offered an opening guided meditation and a talk about Reiki and other energywork frameworks (drawing on my Shiatsu student practice, which uses Traditional Chinese Medicine energetic frameworks) at the last two UKRF conferences.

I run monthly Saturday Reiki Shares in the St Helens area, at the gorgeous Salt & Rock Shop, and these are open to everyone – Reiki and non-Reiki alike. Everyone who’s there receives a short Reiki treatment and a guided Reiki meditation or guided activity to practice an energyworking technique. And I also run Reiki courses (in-person, two full days of learning, attunements and practice, with manual and other teaching aids)

My treatments and sessions can be either mobile (across Wigan, Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester – further afield is possible too, on request), in a professional clinic space (in central Warrington, St Helens centre, and central Wigan) as well as virtual/distant/remote (for Reiki, meditation, coaching/tutorials and Shiatsu). Animal Reiki is always at my client’s location, or remote.
