About The Cedar Tree

The Cedar Tree is run by Mary-Frances, whose background is work within Occupational Psychology. She studied at the University of Strathclyde achieving a BA Honors Psychology and then a Master of Science Occupational Psychology. With her psychology she has helped people experiencing a range of difficulties effecting their worklives, aiding them with strategies and techniques to move forward.

Through her psychology work, Mary-Frances’ interest in how people connect with nature, as a way to aid the healing process, manifested and moved her to train as a Reiki Practioner. She uses her own personal connection with nature, which she is ever developing, to aid her practice.

Reiki is the life force energy and “the cedar tree”, our namesake, is “the tree of life”.
